Dr Vikas Dua

Dr Vikas Dua is Principal Director and Head of Pediatric Hematology, Hemato-Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplant at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram. He is widely recognised as one of the leading pediatric hemato-oncologists in India, with extensive experience treating childhood blood disorders, leukemia, lymphoma, thalassemia and pediatric cancers.

He completed his MBBS and MD in Pediatrics at Pt. B.D. Sharma PGIMS, Rohtak, followed by an FNB in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, where he was recognised as Best Outgoing Fellow. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplants at National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore, and participated in an outreach programme in Pediatric BMT at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, USA.

Dr Dua's areas of clinical interest include benign pediatric hematology, hemato-oncology, matched sibling and unrelated transplants, and pediatric haploidentical transplants. He and his team have performed more than 800 pediatric bone marrow transplants, with excellent outcomes for children facing complex hematological conditions.

Before joining Fortis, Dr Dua served as a Senior Resident in the Department of Pediatrics in Rohtak and Delhi, as Consultant in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at Action Cancer Hospital, Delhi, and as Senior Consultant in Pediatric Hemato-Oncology and BMT at Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon. He currently also consults at Fortis Hospital, Noida, and previously served at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi.
