Dr Rahul Gupta

Dr Rahul Gupta is a Senior Director and Head of Department for Neuro and Spine Surgery at Fortis Hospital, Noida, with more than 20 years of experience in neurosurgery. He trained at Government Medical College, Rohtak, and PGIMER, Chandigarh, and worked as a teaching faculty member in the Department of Neurosurgery at PGIMER, Chandigarh, and GB Pant Hospital, New Delhi, for eight years before joining Fortis Healthcare in July 2012.

He has presented widely at national and international conferences and has published around 55 articles in reputed scientific journals. He was awarded the prestigious Sugita Scholarship at Nagoya University of Medical Science, Japan, in 2011, and trained in the use of Fluorescence (5-ALA) in malignant glioma surgery in Graz, Austria, and in functional neurosurgery in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

His areas of interest include minimally invasive brain and spine surgery, endoscopic skull base surgery, endovascular neurosurgery for complex brain tumors and neurovascular conditions, and pediatric neurosurgery. He is experienced in managing complex brain and spine trauma cases and has performed more than 10,000 neurosurgical procedures.

Dr Gupta is active in community outreach programs focused on brain and spine health awareness, and has authored a book on back pain in both English and Hindi.
